Perry Street League AGM 2015

12 June 2015

Last night (11/06/15) the Perry Street and District League AGM was held. The main topic of discussion was the potential league restructuring for next season.

After a series of close rounds of voting the decision was to remove Division 4 and arrange the teams into 4 larger divisions. The decision was also taken that relegated teams should still be demoted from their otherwise newly assigned division.

This means that the First Team will play in Division 1 along with relegated Premier Division sides Misterton and Ilminster Colts. Existing Division 1 side Pymore will also line up in this division along with promoted Division 3 sides Barrington Reserves and Hawkchurch. The remaining 7 sides all played in Divison 2 last season.

The Reserve Team will play in Division 3 along with relegated Division 2 sides Charmouth and Ilminster A. Dowlish and Donyatt remain in Division 3 along with 6 of last season's Division 4 sides. 4 new teams have joined the league and will all play in the bottom tier - Fivehead, Halstock, Netherbury Reserves and Perry Street Reserves.

Both team face challenging seasons in this new look structure, both facing sides that played 2 divisions higher during the previous term. The 2015/16 season will start on Saturday 29th August.
